About

Blurred Horizons

2017
An experimental publication exploring the friction and transformation of meaning that occurs during the process of translation.

This 100 page, french folded, and Japanese-bound publication explores the Korean and English language, through the Korean poem, “Horizon” written by Kim Hyesoon. It features five different translators who each offer a different English translation. Each of these chapters opens with a visual or typographic illustration of a single stanza, to illustrate visually, conceptually, or typographically, the loss of information, language, or culture through the process of translation.
